The Old Croton Aqueduct in NYC- Walk 2 of 3 – Fordham Road to West 125th Street

Approximately 5 miles, 4 hours

These walks are a continuation of our popular 26 Mile Challenge and are designed for those who want to earn their 41 Mile Patch & Certificate.  If you have already completed the 26 miles of the OCA in Westchester, at the end of these walks you will be eligible to receive the 41 Mile Patch & Certificate awarded by the Friends of the Old Croton Aqueduct.

Walk 2 Details: This is the second of 3 walks. We will meet at Fordham Road & Aqueduct Walk in the Bronx.  Our walk will end at West 125th Street and Amsterdam Avenue.  This walk will bring us over the beautiful and historic High Bridge. 

Public transportation: From Westchester, take Metro North to University Heights.  Walk or take the Bx12 bus to Aqueduct Walk.  From NYC locations, take the IRT#4 or B/D train to Fordham Rd.  To return, IRT#1, A/C/B/D trains & Metro North are available at the end of the walk.

In the even of inclement weather, an alternate date will be provided.

Important Note: These are one-way walks.  Plan accordingly if you will need to return to your starting point.
