The Great 26 Mile Challenge – Walk 2 of 4 – Scarborough to Tarrytown

Walk #2 of the Great 26 Mile Challenge is a continuation of a 4-walk series designed for those who want to walk the entire 26 miles of the Old Croton Aqueduct (OCA) in Westchester. The Friends of the Old Croton Aqueduct awards a Patch and a Certificate to anyone who completes the 26 miles of the trail. This walk covers the segment of the OCA trail from Scarborough to Tarrytown.

The Details: Terrain will be mostly level with some moderate elevation changes, there will be roots and rocks; please wear appropriate footwear. Bring lunch, snacks and water – there will be rest stops along the way.

Important Note: This is a one-way walk. Plan accordingly if you will need to return to your starting point.

Meet at the Scarborough Metro-North Station – Metered parking and a paid parking lot are available.

Walk will end at Neperan Rd. and the Aqueduct, Tarrytown 10591

Metered parking lot is available at McKeel Avenue and the Aqueduct. The Tarrytown Metro-North station is a 20-minute walk from Neperan Rd.

Restrooms: Please use restroom before walk as there may be no restrooms along the route.

Required: Pre-registration. Will reschedule in the event of rain.
