Tour of Old Croton Aqueduct Distributing Reservoir at New York Public Library
Meet at the New York Public Library in New York City at 476 Fifth Avenue between 40th and 42nd Streets (short walk from Grand Central Station Terminal) on Saturday, February 25th at noon for a 90-minute tour.
View the remains of the original stones from the Old Croton Aqueduct Distributing Reservoir that form part of the foundation of the New York Public library, which was built on the Reservoir's former site. Visit other collections to discover Old Croton Aqueduct history, photos, maps, etc. Following the tour, participants may opt to view on their own the library's current exhibit in honor of the library's 100 year anniversary.
Tour will be led by NYPL volunteer tour guide. Please bring $7 per person ($5 for seniors) to contribute to the NYPL for the tour. Space is limited to 25 participants.
