AQUEFEST HIGHLIGHTS

11am SOLAR PUNCH powers the day with solar powered eco-tunes.

Noon THE FAIR HAIRED TINKERS celebrate the Irish who built the Aqueduct tunnel with a traditional Irish session by Eugene Bender on fiddle, accompanied by accordion.

1pm MUSIC BY ZEV Zev’s original music for children draws from many musical cultures and traditions to create songs about everyday childhood: family, fantasy, silliness and whimsy.

2pm The CLOCKTOWER PLAYERS sing and dance and perform from their upcoming adult troope show, "Hairspray!" The resident theater company of the Irvington Town Hall Theater, The Clocktower Players engage theater lovers of all ages to bring vibrant, jubilant theater to the community.

3pm JESSIE LAMBIASE: Known for her distinctly pure and mesmerizing voice, 19-year-old Irvington singer/songwriter Jessie Lambiase has been performing since she was 8-years-old. A longtime Rivertowns favorite at local events and coffee houses (as well as a frequent farmers market performer) Jessie performs regularly at the Comfort Lounge in Hastings. Her EP, “Still Waters” was released in 2007.

All DAY: Leaf rubbings and collage with Aqueduct painter, Karen Kelleher; Henna artists, Cycling skills & safety with Westchester Bike Walk Alliance & SWEAC's Complete Streets. Tree care with The Care of Trees. Love 'Em & Leave 'Em show us how to compost. Irvington Cross Country Team shares safe running tips. The Irvington Chamber of Commerce, Irvington Historical Society, Watercolor with W@tercooler of Tarrytown. And lots of Solar Punch!

THE RIVERTOWN ROLL STARTS HERE!!!. "The Rivertowns Roll @ Aquefest!" A cycling event starts the day! Two rides: A 10-mile family ride along the trail, and a more challenging 25-mile group ride along the Aqueduct trail and surrounding roads. Meet on the OCA at Dow's Lane and Memorial Park in Irvington. (Park at Dows Lane School lot) Start time 9:30a.m. (arrive at 9 to pick up cue sheet) Sponsored by the Westchester Bike Walk Alliance and the Southern Westchester Energy Action Consortium (SWEAC) Complete Streets initiative.
