Yes, it's Mr. Hertzberg the Orchestra Teacher at Springhurst Elementary School! His band is one of the most exciting bands to emerge from New York City’s burgeoning neo-bluegrass scene. Combining the earthy, joyous groove of bluegrass with the harmonic sophistication of jazz. Hearts & Bones will play selections from their debut album, “Don’t Lose Sight of Your Song." Featuring some of the top players from New York’s jazz/bluegrass scenes - flutist Itai Kriss, violinist Alan Grubner, acoustic guitarist Rick Snell, drummer Joel Arnow and bassist/composer Hertzberg. Hearts & Bones plays “fiery music that will start your pulse moving!
3: GREETINGS FROM ANYWHERE returns to the Keeper’s House porch with their signature blend of classically-trained strings and garage-band grit. Based just up the hill in Dobbs Ferry, they've cultivated a loyal following by playing the coffeehouse and festival circuit throughout the Hudson River Valley since 2008. GFA features a diverse array of original compositions and choice roots-rock covers with fresh, vibrant acoustic interpretations that feed n the melodic interplay between guitars, cello, violin, mandolin, drums and harmonic vocals."

ALL DAY! Dave Kiyak of REI sets up his tent with goodies and outdoor fun. The Resistance Personal Training Loft shares safe walking and running tips, face painting, Aqueduct art, Trailside baked goods and more!
NEW THIS YEAR!"The Rivertowns Roll @ Aquefest!" A cycling event starts the day! Two rides: A 10-mile family ride along the trail, and a more challenging 25-mile group ride along the Aqueduct trail and surrounding roads. Meet on the OCA at Dow's Lane and Memorial Park in Irvington. (Park at Dows Lane School lot) Start time 9:30a.m. (arrive at 9 to pick up cue sheet) Sponsored by the Westchester Bike Walk Alliance and the Southern Westchester Energy Action Consortium (SWEAC) Complete Streets initiative.
